About the Internship

We are seeking diligent and motivated individuals to join our team as annotation specialist interns. This role involves working on various language-related tasks, including translation, transcription, and named entity recognition (NER).

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Audio Annotation and Translation:
   a. Translate content between English and the following languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Oriya, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Bengali, and Hindi, and vice versa
   b. Ensure translations are accurate and maintain the meaning and context of the original text
   c. Work on various types of sentences, including but not limited to articles, any domain, manuals and reports
2. Audio Annotation and Transcription:
   a. Transcribe audio files accurately into written format in English (U.S.), Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali
   b. Ensure proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling in transcriptions
   c. Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy and completeness
3. Text Annotation: Named Entity Recognition (NER):
   a. Perform slot annotation and NER tasks in French, Arabic, and German
   b. Identify and classify entities within the text according to specified guidelines
   c. Ensure the accuracy and consistency of annotations

3. are available for duration of 3 months

Other requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Candidates should have an academic background or certification in one of the mentioned languages.
2. The candidate must expect no leaves for the next 3 months.
3. For audio annotation, transcription, and NER tasks, a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection is mandatory. For audio annotation and translation, no laptop/desktop is required.
4. The candidate must be available from 09 A.M to 6 P.M or 10 A.M to 7 P.M with a 1-hour break, 6 days a week.
5. Possess strong language proficiency in the respective languages.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to follow guidelines accurately.
7. Possess excellent communication skills.
8. Possess the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification or formal education in the languages required for the role.
2. Demonstrated the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
